Times of India
A brave attempt by writer-director Tejas Padiaa, Aa Te kevi Dunniya passes the acid test and scores a brownie point too. First, it is indeed a contemporary Gujarati movie made with love and compassion. Second, the casting of the movie, which has been done to perfection. While each actor fits to the character etched out like a 'T' in the film, the fluidity of the narrative of Aa Te Kevi Dunniya really makes it a must watch.
The script does not have a single weak point, leaving all the queries for the restless minds answered in the end. The film which begins with two friends, meeting with an accident on the highway with their bag full of cash stashed in, finding themselves tangled in a world, which doesn't run on the currency notes that they are carrying, but by the punya points that an individual earns everyday. So, a Utopian concept is given shape wherein anyone can drive a posh car, including the penurious beggar whom the two friends meet after the accident -- wearing a four piece suit and flashing his smart phone, causing utter bemusement.
What is impressive about the film is the cast of newcomers, which absolutely made a decent impact. Raj Jatania and Yatin Parmar are outstandingly good with their comic timing and acting ability. Kinjal Pandya and Krishna Rawal too manage to get a good recall. But it is actors Sunil Vishrani and Jayesh More who emerge as show-stealers.
What is remarkable about the movie is that not a nano second of the film is wasted on meaningless sequences. Songs are carefully and meaningfully added when the script demands it. Editing has been script and the direction is sound. Aa Te Kevi Dunniya will not leave you disappointed.
