Prem infuses life into the character of the kind-hearted Bharath. While Aindritha Ray and Anant Nag do justice to their roles, Sharan and Roopa Prabhakar provide some lively moments. Mano Murthy's music has some catchy tunes.
Bharath (Prem) and Aparna (Aindritha Ray). Bharath, who has no mother, is angry with his father Vishwanath (Anant Nag) for getting married again. After a bitter exchange with his father, Bharath leaves home. On his way, he meets Aparna (Aindritha Ray) and the duo develop a kinship which soon transforms into love. Aparna has also run away from home as she is opposed to the idea of marrying the boy chosen by her grandfather. The plot takes a turn when Bharath discovers that Aparna is a drug addict. When he approaches a doctor, he comes to know that Aparna is suffering from a strange disease and needs to take the drugs in order to survive for the next three months. He decides to marry her.
