It's chewing gum, not barfi. Director Shekhar has stretched the story beyond limits testing your patience. While the first half appears lively, the second half looks more like a documentary on Punjab, its art and culture than a movie. There is a need to trim the movie by at least 30 minutes.

What could have been a lively romantic story has been reduced to a pathetic narration by director Shekhar who has failed to do justice to the story as well as the audiences. Except for some lively moments in the first half, thanks to brilliant performance by Diganth, the rest of the movie tests your patience with unwanted sequences, especially in the second half, that could have been done away with.

It is a simple story. Santhosh (Diganth) falls in love with Khushi (Bhama), a resident of Punjab, through internet. He decides to meet her for a day in Punjab on his way to the US. He is impressed by her and her family members. The story takes a curious turn when Santhosh loses contact with Khushi after leaving her. Khushi is depressed as she does not get any response to her messages from Santhosh. She falls sick and gets admitted to hospital. Only her father (Suchendra Prasad) knows what happened to Santhosh. What is it? If you have patience and time, you can stay till the climax.

Diganth gets full marks for his lively performance. Bhama looks dull for a strong character that could have pepped up the story. Music By Arjun Janya has some catchy numbers. Camera work by Gundlupet Suresh is commendable.
