Raj (Rajneesh) bets his friend that he can bed Sunaina (Sunny) in 10 days. Little does he know that the sex bet will leave him ravaged.
Horny men who are jilted at the bedroom door seem to be the flavour of the season. When dealt with correctly, you get a delicious film like Pink. When not, you get the bland Beiimaan Love.
Here, Raj Malhotra (Rajneesh Duggal) spots Sunaina (Sunny Leone) at a party, leaps at her like a drooling cartoon wolf, and starts kissing her neck without consent and/or warning. Obviously, she slaps him across the face, thus initiating a series of bets, crosses, double crosses and affairs between employees and bosses.
He tricks her into bed, she gets her heart broken, plots revenge, destroys his business, it's all pretty standard Hindi-movie stuff. Abbas Mustan would have made a great thriller out of it in the '90s.
But it is not the '90s. We deserve better tropes than the hero heroically rescuing the heroine’s purse from goons, Who-blinks-first games on dates, effeminate men as prop-characters, “oriental” background music when Chinese characters are on screen and a mother with a melodramatic secret. All that was missing was a laugh track in the background.
The characters are inconsistent, the lines are handpicked from a Dialogue For Dummies guide and there’s a general lack of attention to detail. Props from one scene show up everywhere; the same location is used as different places, and the film opens with a promotional song (!) which plays by itself without titles. Are we watching a movie, or a music channel?
Sunny Leone gets A for effort, because her struggle to rise above the content is evident. Rajneesh and the other members of the cast (also from the 90s) are jaywalking around her.
If you are hankering for a Sunny Leone performance this weekend, hop on to Baby Doll on YouTube and call it a day.
There is a scene in the film where Sunny Leone is crying after her break up with beau, Rajneesh Duggal. In that scene she was able to emote naturally without any glycerin. Sunny's answer to this was that she remembered the loss of her parents and got lost in the scene to such an extent that she cried automatically.
Since Rajneesh and Sunny are very good friends, in between shoot they used to discuss family and kids.
There is one scene in the film where Rajneesh had to bear six slaps from Sunny. But Sunny was unable to get the shot perfect and only got it perfect on her sixth attempt. Rajneesh’s nose was hurt by the repeated slaps and Sunny apologised to the actor multiple times.
The film marks the acting debut of Sunny Leone's husband, Daniel Weber
Same location is used for date scenes, meetings, as "lawns", and it's painfully obvious.
Raj's brother-in-law is the Benedict Arnold, who steals company secrets and passes them to rival Sunaina. This is never acknowledged in the climax, as if acknowledging it would have required more scenes, and they had no will power to tackle the issue.
Sunaina is the queen of the jewelry export business and is awarded an honour at a conference, where her former employers are sulking in a corner.
We soon learn that Sunaina's business has destroyed these former employers, the Malhotras, who now hate her with all their heart.
In flashback, it is revealed that Sunaina had slapped her boss, Raj Malhotra because of his advances towards her, and as a revenge, Raj had plotted to get her into bed. After 10 days of planning, Raj manages to seduce Sunaina and sleeps with her, only to have it ruined by his brother-in-law, who gets the whole family home to surprise Raj on the same night.
A miscommunication leads to Sunaina and Raj's engagement, but at this party, Sunaina's mother's secret past is revealed by a guest. The engagement breaks, Raj dumps Sunaina and admits to having had sex with her only "for fun", and leaves her heartbroken.
Equipped with a drive to destroy Raj, Sunaina plants a mole in their business and overtakes the Malhotras.
Meanwhile, Raj's father fixes up his engagement with another loaded daddy's girl, who eventually cheats on him. Her betrayal makes Raj realize what a gem Sunaina had been all along. He goes back to her, but it's now her turn to complete her revenge plan.
Sunaina leads him on again and dumps him when he's at the height of madness.
Rajeev Chaudhari's erotic thriller, 'Beiimaan Love,' starring Sunny Leone, Rajniesh Duggal and Daniel Weber in lead roles, has received a poor response at the box office, with the film having collected just Rs 1.50 crore in its first week. After the failure of 'Mastizaade' and 'One Night Stand,' this is another setback for Sunny Leone in the year 2016. 'Beiimaan Love' had opened with a surprisingly low figure of Rs 30 lakh.
