A happily married couple buy a farmhouse but when they enter into it their happiness departs. What's even more dreadful for them is that the demons don't allow them to escape from their clutches.
Movie Review :
Just when Karthik (Sivaji) and his wife Shravani (Kainaz Motivala) think nothing else matters to them than just living together, they realize they have company in the house. It takes quite some time for them to understand the reasons for their own weird behavior - of beating each other to pulp without even their knowledge. They come to know that a couple had killed each other in the house where their villa stood now and were haunting the place. The spirits want to 'kill' each other again - for the third time - on August 15. As the day approaches, it comes clear to Karthik and Shravani, that they will die killing each other as that is what the spirits would make them do after possessing them.
The director has mixed some humour in the horror, which is not so horrifying. Moreover, films with similar subjects have been attempted earlier. But this is not to take away from the director the twists he adds to the story. It's exactly not edge of the seat excitement but your sure will be curious to know if Karthik and Shravani survive August 15.
Kainaz Motivala's make-up artiste does a fabulous job of her face to make her look really scary. And, of course, Kainaz herself, given the liberty she gets, gives a performance that does more than justice to the script. Sivaja has to show many shades of his nature considering the peculiar circumstances he is in and gets into the skin of the character.
Were the censors looking away when a foul word found its way on to the screen? Can't blame them if they do not know that it is vulgar.
