Revolving around MMS scandals and sex tapes, the film attempts to spread awareness about such incidents and guide victims to take action against the perpetrators.

You remember seeing those shaky handycam videos of wannabe filmmakers trying to be artistic in capturing moments "aesthetically"? That is 'Chitrafit 3.0 Megapixel' for you. While its underlying premise is of spreading awareness about MMS scandals, the film in fact, ends up doing quite the opposite many a times.

'Chitrafit 3.0 Megapixel' seems like a shoddy compilation of MMS clips that are devoid of any explanation. The film starts with a young couple going on a trek. The girl has met the boy for the first time; surprising because she happens to carry a set of sketch pencils to gift him since he is an artist. This sounds bizarre, since we are told that they were complete strangers. The film proceeds for half an hour with them walking through the woods, meeting tribals, talking about sex, its benefits and every single thing under the sun.

Excuse me Mr Director, what was the film about again? Right, MMS scandals. So some creepy porn-addict friend of the girl sends her a link that is allegedly shot by the guy while on the trek and the girl is shocked (duh, who wouldn't be?). But instead of doing something about it, she watches the entire clip and the viewers are told the complete story behind it. She does inform the police at the end of the film, by which time you have completely lost track of the plot. We won't blame you because the plot seems shoddy and you end up losing track of the story.

EXPOSED: Sex, scandals and sleaze

The film is liberally laced with sleazily crafted sex scenes. It takes guts to make a bold film with a social message, but only a person desperate to score brownie points by including sex in his film can make a film like this.

The underlying message is genuine but the way it has been dealt with is disappointing. Coming from a director who says he has worked on Hollywood projects as technical director, the film has gaping holes in the technical aspects as well. The only good thing about the film is that it gets over in less than an hour and a half. Watch it only if you want to sit in an air-conditioned theatre to escape the heat outside. The one star is for the attempt to make a film.
