A haunted forest next to a hamlet in interior Karnataka draws everyone's curiosity due to the mysterious deaths that occur there. It is branded a 'danger zone' soon enough and entry is restricted in the forest by cops. A curious journalist and her friends go to the forest to find the truth...
This horror film had piqued the interest of many by its trailer, which gathered a large chunk of views. While the trailer promised some of the staple fare seen in a horror story, the film fails to live up to it. The spook-inducing scenes don't measure up and the film ends up being a rather LOL-worthy tale, where you end up laughing in the tense moments.
If horror wasn't enough to earn the film the A Certificate, there is sexual content and ample skin show, with women prancing around in crop tops and shorts in the forests (isn't that the ideal trekking gear after all!). There are predictable moments too, where one finds people wandering alone and loud, blaring background score and some amateur VFX in the scary scenes with people flying in mid-air. That said, the film has some decent cinematography and some part-decent performances by some of the ensemble crew. Though, these aren't enough to salvage the film.
This film is definitely not for the hard core horror buffs, for there have been better ones. But, if you're up to a film that gives you some unintentional laughs then you can brave a trip to the cinema halls.
