On wonders what made K Devu select an underworld story for his directorial debut. Sandalwood has seen a number of such stories for a long time. Dhanu is just an addition. There is nothing new either in the script or narration.
The story revolves around Dhananjaya alias Dhanu, who becomes a rowdy by circumstances. He kills JP, brother of RK (Muni), an underworld don and also Juttu, JP's close aide. He also takes on another rowdy Mori Ranga (Petrol Prasanna). Now RK and Ranga hatch a plot to eliminate Dhanu.
They also seek the help of Sketch Raja to plan their action. How do they do it? There is also a romantic track to the story when Dhanu falls in love with Sarika (Khushi), hailing from a traditional family. The twists and turns that follow are on expected lines. Santhosh has done a neat job in the romantic track. Khushi has a long way to go to prove her talent. Music by BR Hemanth Kumar has a couple of catchy tunes, especially the number 'Ondu sala nanna Thirugi nodu...' rendered by Sarthak and Lakshmi. Camera by Ramesh Bhaira is average.
