The story is predictable and the twists too, nothing that's different or cerebral.A must-watch for Puneeth's fans.

Surya is a Good Samaritan living in Hubballi. Nisha is a hip youngster from the city. Cable Babu is a baddie in South Karnataka. Doddmane Rajeev is a Good Samaritan in Mandya. How they are connected forms this jigsaw puzzle..

Much is expected from Suri's Doddmane Huduga since it is Puneeth Rajkumar's 25th film as a hero. Suri, unlike his previous films, moves beyond the underbelly and tries his hand at a family drama, with arguably the biggest names in the industry backing him as the ensemble cast. Does this work? Yes, to a large extent. He has delivered a masala-laden entertainer with ample fights, some sentiment, a memorable romantic track and some peppy dance numbers. Where it falters is the family emotion scenes, which don't make the necessary impact. But that said, the film promises fans what they expect from the Power Star in his 25th.

The story is predictable and the twists too, but a commercial entertainer excels when it makes the mundane magical. This is where Suri's style, dialogues and characterizations work. The film has some really innovative fight sequences which draw ample whistles from the gallery. The romantic track is cute and gives leading lady Radhika Pandit ample scope to perform. She excels with her expressions and comic timing. Ambareesh gets a chunky role that will please his fans. Sumalatha and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan don't have big roles but are pleasing to watch. P Ravi Shankar seems repititive, but still manages to draw enough hoots. Darling Krishna has a role that is pivotal to the film's plot and delivers. Puneeth carries forth the film on his shoulder, which wavers a little in the second half.

This film is a must-watch for Puneeth fans and those who like commercial entertainers that have a good mix of action, romance, comedy and sentiments. Suri, who had a mammoth task to deliver a film with massive expectations, manages to pass the muster and doesn't disappoint. Of course, this one isn't for those who want something 'different' or cerebral.
