Muthu is the typical do-gooder, who lives his life on high ideals, supporting the have nots and fighting criminals. When a woman comes in his life and expresses her love to him, one gets to discover a secret he has hidden for long about his life.
The title of the film has allusions to the evergreen Dr Rajkumar film, but the similarity ends just there. This contemporary film by the same title is bipolar in its treatment as it starts off as a hard core commercial drama in the first half, but shifts into being an emotional tale soon thereafter.
The mandatory introduction fight, introduction song and all other commercial tropes try to make this a massy tale. And then there are two different love stories of the protagonist. The film could have been something much more than just a regular film had the filmmaker concentrated on either the commercial aspect or the emotional journey. Instead one gets a mishmash of both that isn't of good measure.
While Vijay Raghavendra has given his all for this film, one wishes the story did justice to his talent, especially after his winning performance in Chowka this year.
