The film tracks the life of an individual named Vivekanandan who is cheated by everyone and his attempts to pull himself out of the mess.
Not long ago, Shaji Kailas would have his heroes twirl their moustache, utter whacky one-liners and trash everyone with a terrifying temper. His latest film's hero is a pure-hearted weakling. Girls slap on his rosy cheeks, fraudsters dupe him in turns, he suffers, struggles and sprints a lot.
is a messy narrative like an over-stuffed stale sandwich. The lead character has a noble name, Vivekanandan played by Jayaram. His life is a pool of debts followed by frauds. The typical innocent, suffering hero of the yore comes back alive as a shoddy reproduction in Ginger.
In whatever little time he could afford Shaji Kailas brings in dark flash-back ridden with misfortunes and the complex tangle of affairs that torment Vivekanandan. The onus on the viewers is challenging, to keep a track of the ceaseless flow of events that would include, cheating, a foiled attempt at theft leading to hatching a plot for murder.
Not one of these fall in place as Shaji Kailas finds himself at a loss to put together the blocks he had assembled for his new film. Jayaram ends up doing caricature with a tiredness that comes from doing a same act over and over again.
