The movie is basically a story of a rowdy who wants to get reformed, but fails in his attempts. Though the subject is strong, director Suri has made it look tame with lack-lusture narration, especially in the first half, and sequences which are dull and weak.

There's no punch in any of the sequences, including the dialogues. In the second half, the story goes haywire, like a kite without a string. There's romance, a chase, murder, fight and sentiment, but the story lacks that something that pushes it forward. That doesn't come through either in the narration or dialogues. The entire burden of carrying the story forward falls on Shivrajkumar, who's given life to his character as a rowdy and a family man, and this is the only reason you may want to watch the film.
The story revolves around Ananda alias Kaddipudi (Shivrajkumar), a rowdy sheeter who yearns for a peaceful life. But politicians like Renukaji (Renuka Prasanna), his son Gaali (Rajesh) and Shankarappa (Sharath Lohithashwa) use him as a pawn for their selfish ends and don't allow him to lead a normal life. Circumstances also force him to marry Uma (Radhika Pandit), a junior artiste from a poor family. He does a good turn and saves Daisy (Aindrita Ray), a brothel dancer.
Radhika Pandit has done her best to keep her role alive. Aindrita Ray shines in her short, but challenging role of a prostitute. While 'Mungaru Male' Krishna has done a good job with his camera, V Harikrishna's music is above average. The song 'Hedarabyadre....' sung by Sachina Heggar is excellent with a folk tune.

This good drama gets 3.7 for 5.0 rating. Director Suri needs to concentrate more on this work. Otherwise this would have got 4.0 to gain very good movie rating.
