Story: Suchi (Chandini Chowdhary) is the one and only pampered daughter of landlord Mahadevaraju. The film is a triangular love story between Suchi, her bava Gopi (Sudhakar Komakula) and a mechanic Vasu (Sudheer Varma).
Mahadevaraju is hell-bent on marrying his daughter off to her bava Gopi. But Gopi keeps putting it off to Mahadevaraju that he isn't financially stable enough to marry. Meanwhile, Suchi is a cleptomaniac and a spoilt brat, who Vasu comes across in Vijayanagaram and falls for at the first sight. Vasu, an automobile engineer who works as a mechanic to make end meet, grabs a job opportunity that his friend is offered. The job requires him to move to a village where he has to repair a car.
In a happy coincidence, the place he has to stay at to repair the vintage car is Suchi's home. After a series of cat and mouse sequences between the hero and the heroine, the two of them fall in love. Soon, Gopi returns to the village and agrees to marry Suchi, leaving her and Vasu in shock.
The movie was burdened with poor execution. While the story was more or less engaging, the screenplay, cinematography and dialogues felt outdated. The comedy was way off the mark. Jhansi is cast in this movie just for a comedy track that has nothing to do with the plotline. Cringeworthy indeed.
Although the likes of Rajeev Kanakala and Bhargavi had a lot to offer as artistes in the roles they played, the lead actors can improve immensely. Chandini pulled off the lighter parts where she played the boisterous girl well, but the emotional scenes clearly weren't her cup of tea.
Music was unappealing. The KV Mahadevan musical, Chaitra Maasa in S.P. Balasubramanyam's voice, was pleasant on the ears but the CG used in the visuals was quite unnecessary and particularly off-putting.
In all, there are but a few light moments in the movie that will make you chuckle. Besides that, you're not missing much if you pass this one.
