Plot: On a journey to his hometown, Nandu is thrown out of the bus after an altercation with the bus conductor. He is not alone though.

Review: If the trailer is anything to go by, this film is said to be a thrilling journey and to some extent it is. When you put in an element of fear and set the story in a jungle, the audience is bound to be gripped. The grip remains only for a small part of the film though.

Nandu (Abhijeet) gets in an argument with the conductor and is thrown out along with the reason of the argument- three kids who are travelling without any elder along. The kids Kunal (Sahil Malge), Sahil (Shubhankar) and Ira (Arya) are on way to visit their maternal uncle's village (mamacha gav) but get stuck with Nandu. Another addition to the pack comes in the form of Teju (Mrunmayee), who misses the bus and also informs the lot that the next bus will only the next morning. Here comes the shortcut, a way through the jungle, which according to Teju reaches the village. Little do they know that this shortcut in fact will take them on a dangerous journey.

While it might make for an interesting film for children, the older lot would be anything but amused by it. The film has its moments that induce fear, laughter and tension but the wider picture unfolds rather predictably.

The kids have done an average job but Abhijeet gets his act perfect as the angry young man. Mrunmayee does well initially and has a major share of the punch lines and comic scenes but her act gets repetitive sooner than you expect. The twist in the plot comes at the midpoint in the film but you know what it is by then.

Even so, this is a one-time watch if you are taking your kids along.
