Synopsis : Deepu (Navdeep) is a wannbe filmmaker who bags an opportunity to direct his first music video album. Mythri (Sada) a US based model is roped in to play the female lead. Just as they start shooting the video, things begin to go wrong

Movie Review : The nine yards saree is what fascinates our wannabe director who wants to make a music video album. But to show case a saree, you also need to drape it around someone - someone beautiful. The producer of the video album, would rather want to push a pushy woman in his life onto the music director to make the video with her. The young, enthusiastic, career-minded and creative director is simply frustrated until...

Of course, you would agree with his Deepu (Navdeep) that he would need an attractive woman to make the video. But just how can you ignore the producer, Genius Murthy (Brahmanandam) who is funding your project? All of his friends too want to make a career in the film industry, so they prevail upon him to accept the producer's conditions. Everything is set for the first shot when a stranger, Mythri (Sadaf), a model from the US drives on to the location, which happens to be her grandfather's property. Deepu promptly dumps the original woman for the project and convinces Mythri to feature in the video. She agrees.

The video does happen but from here, the film is given a turn. You are supposed to get scared because music director pulls all stops to create such an effect. From the way the movie goes, you get an impression that the old bungalow is a haunted house and there's some kind of danger awaiting someone.

The film director Surya Raju goes overboard in trying to create scenes adding effects in such a way that they tempt you to conclude that they are suspicious characters. In the end you feel cheated because about the focus they get. Forgive him! It's a movie. Let's move on.

Mythri is in India just for a week to settle the property matters and it soon dawns on her that she is being followed and tracked. There are even signs of black magic that Deepu notices and begins his own private investigation into it. We are not aware of that until we get to the end of the movie but for now, there's danger lurking in Mythri's room.

There are too many loose ends in the movie and you would also want to question the contradictory expressions of Mythri in some situations.

Comedy king Brahmanandam shows how he can even allow himself to be wasted in a movie. Full marks to Navdeep for his businesslike approach to his character. As for Sadaf, we understand. She's been in the industry for long and she sure has to keep herself afloat. Perhaps, keeping off glamour might work for her. Your choice, Sadaf.
