Krishna is a small-town boy who falls in love with Rukmini, the heiress of a big estate. Rukmini, a Sonu Nigam fan, wants to marry someone who charms her with his singing. Krishna goes to Bengaluru to learn music, where Meera helps him...

Deepak Thimaya had it all going for him, four talented actors, an already popular music album for his soundtrack and the gorgeous locations of Coorg for his story. All he had to do was work a story that weaves all his ready ingredients together. While he seemed to have found a good story, unnecessary sub-plots, comic additions and other excesses ensured the film ended up being longer than one's patience.

While Anish, Deepika, Samyukta and Varun seem to do justice to their roles, the story falters, at almost every twist. The visuals also seem jarring, despite most of the film being set in greenery. The comedy is quite crass at times and the background score seems to have a major 90s hangover.

Watch this one if you're a fan of Sonu's old album by the same name.

On paper, the idea may seem great — making a film on how a man with a motive pretends to be an IPS officer but manages to reform the system. However, the thought is far from reality. While films do offer creative liberty to storytellers, stretching it too far can backfire. Similar is the case with AP Arjun's latest venture
