Synopsis : Watch it for the 3D experience, everything else about it is just too blah.

Movie Review : Not sure how many (why would anyone really) would have fancied watching a banal Tollywood revenge drama - revolving around a father-son sentiment with and a love triangle as a sub plot - in 3D? Well, actor Kalyan Ram sure did, and to his credit the movie does offer a first of its kind viewing experience, in Telugu cinema parlance off course.

We have SUV spare parts, cigarette smoke, bullets, flames...all sorts of things keep popping out of the screen. The 3D effects are surprisingly well executed but for a handful of tacky graphical excesses. The filmmakers' enthusiasm for striving to stitch in an unseen cinema element into a stereotypical potboiler deserves to be appreciated nevertheless. They even packed in a non linear narrative. Hopefully the next time they will attempt a brand new story template as well.

The protagonist is a good hearted simpleton, who'd go to any length to keep his dad from harm's way. So when an old foe comes out of prison baying for his dad's life, our man kills him in retaliation. That's when you have the twist in the tale. It turns out Arjun isn't the man he though he was. The mystery is revealed in a flash back episode. The two ladies, Rhea (Nikeesha) and Anjali (Kriti) initiate a few twists in the plot themselves.

The performances fluctuate between ordinary to over the top. Rao Ramesh stands out with his quirky dialogue delivery speaking in the Godavari slant. Kalyan Ram tries very hard but just doesn't have the acting chops or the charisma to carry off such a plain vanilla character with aplomb. The ladies just serve a decorative purpose.

The music is plain uninteresting to listen to and neither is it nice to watch. The writing is devoid of any substance either. There aren't enough gags on offer either so, the entertainment value isn't great either. The action sequences are a scream though. Besides the technical wizardry, there is little in the movie that's above par.

Note : Watch it for the 3D experience, everything else about it is just too blah.
