Synopsis:The film deals with the conflict between a young man and his father; while the latter wants him to take up farming, the guy wishes to work in a bar!
Movie Review: With a premise that offers scope to take political potshot, Esakki Karvannan has zeroed in on the right subject to make a film. It explores the incongruity of the government focussing on running bars at the cost of an essential occupation like farming. There are some sharp dialogues here, and the intention is noble (and brave, especially for a debut filmmaker), but sadly, the filmmaking is at best TV serial-ish. The lowbrow comedy scenes and the romantic track dilute the seriousness of the issue (Madhubaanakadai managed this better) and the film feels like a missed opportunity, especially at a time when farmers are fighting for water.
