A puppeteer is implicated by the police in a crime that he hasn't committed.

Review: Blaming someone else for the mistake of others is always the easiest way out. So when the entire village goes berserk after an incident of shaming of a much revered leader, the police make Ambatrao (Sachin), a performer, the scapegoat.

It all starts when a garland of footwear is the bust of Annasaheb, a respected leader of the village of Kambalwadi. The same cooks up a storm in the otherwise silent place. Annasaheb's politically inclined sons Bhau and Nana seize the opportunity to benefit from this issue. Their plans are given a push when the police, working on a deadline of 24 hours to catch the culprit, put the drunkard Ambatrao in jail. Initially, Ambatrao enjoys the attention and money that comes his way from Bhau and Nana who are busy plotting each other's downfall. But when he sees the shame in the eyes of his wife (Sanskruti) and son, he decides to teach both the brothers a lesson. In doing so, he unknowingly resolves many social issues marring the life of the residents of the area.

Satish Rajwade is a director who has perfected the art of fusing humour with socially relevant subjects. He did so in 'Popat' which focused on the awareness of AIDS in rural areas and repeats it by shedding light on the corrupt practices and negligent behaviour of netas towards the society.

While the story itself is predictable, there is a certain amount of suspense that remains throughout the film about who the real culprit is. Sachin Pilgaonkar has done a great job and is natural in his emotions. Newcomer Sanskruti is a looker and has made use of the little screen time effectively. Vaibhav Mangle and Bhau Kadam do what they do best- comedy.

You might know what's going to happen next but still, the way it has been presented in, is unique. Definitely a one-time watch.
