Review: As you can understand from the storyline above, it's a tale that has been told a thousand times. That's why the first half turns out to be same old same old, though director Raaj Mukherjee adds a post-interval twist that salvages the story somewhat. But the biggest problem is the execution. The plot is full of loopholes and ridiculous mistakes. For example, Anjali and Rajiv are supposed to be in a grave financial crisis, which is why their marriage is apparently falling apart. But it defies logic when Anjali goes around driving a sedan, wears expensive clothes and Rajiv spends freely on food and alcohol. These contradictions are too glaring to avoid.

The performances make matters worse. Rituparna Sengupta, who easily fits into most roles, gives a needlessly high-strung performance. Priyanshu Chatterjee looks like a block of wood. His expressions are the same when he is happy, sad, angry or whatever else. His voice modulation matches his expressions. Badsha Moitra is the only one who seems to know what he is doing. As an alcoholic, abusive and scheaming husband, he is believable, if not excellent. But his efforts go wasted in this badly-made film.
