Amitabh Bachchan is all set to join the star cast of Ayan Mukerji's upcoming project 'Dragon' which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
The 74-year-old actor will be seen in a pivotal role in the movie. 'Dragon' will not only mark Ranbir and Alia's first collaboration but also, it will be the first time when Ranbir pairs up with Bachchan Sr. This will be definitely an interesting pairing to watch!
The film, which is helmed by Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani director Ayan Mukerji, is touted to be a franchise film but only if the first part is hailed successful. The director, who, in an earlier interview said that Bollywood needs its own superhero, is planning to make 'Dragon' as a superhero film with a mythological backdrop. Ranbir's character, which will be the leading one, is expected to have powers to exhale fire. Truly, a first in Bollywood!
The Piku actor, Amitabh Bachchan, who has worked with Ranbir's father Rishi Kapoor in the past, will pair up with the young Kapoor scion for the first time. While Amitabh is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Sarkar 3, Ranbir is busy working on Raju Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt and is waiting for Jagga Jasoos to release.
