Shahenshah completes 48 years in Bollywood: Here’s a glorious lookback!
Amitabh Bachchan entered Bollywood as a young man of 26 years .And now, 48 years later, he is one of the fittest and respected actor in the industry and not to forget, the social media savvy person as he is! 16th February marked his official entry into bollywood and he shared a few details reminiscing the past in his blog:
Fond memories from ‘Saat Hindustani’
Sr. Bachchan wrote in his blog saying the date had an important relevance in his life. He signed on his very first film ‘Saat Hindustani’ on 16 February 1969. He also shared some photos from the film on the blog, where he also remarked the time he spent with then former PM IK Gujral at the movie premiere.
27 years of Agneepath!
Bachchan also remarked that the date also holds a special memory for him because of three other films that released that day, Agneepath, Bande Haath and Eklavya
Career defining movie
Agneepath is undoubtedly, Amitabh Bachchan’s career defining film that pushed him to the path of stardom. Who can forget Bachchan’s famous ‘Vijay Dinanath Chauhan’ in Agneepath?
Eklavya : The Royal Guard
The day also marks the tenth anniversary of the release of Eklavya:The Royal guard which was directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie, although had a steller cast performed less than dismal at the box office.
Amitabh now:The star of edgy movies
Amitabh, in his career spanning 48 years has managed to stay ahead of his contemporaries and can still deliver at the box office. One of our favourite recent films of his is Piku(2015) and Pink(2016). There is surely something about these characters, which nobody could have performed better than Sr. Bachchan!
The actor, who has also done some roles on television and is the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati will now be seen on the big screen in Sarkar 3, which will release on March 17th.
