This is surely one of the weirdest fad diets we have heard coming out of the mouth of a Bollywood celeb! While celebs have experienced and tried a number of fad diets to maintain their shape in the industry, this newest diet that Rajkumar Rao shared with us has certainly peeked our interest!

Trapped Actor

The actor, who will be seen next in an intense role in Vikramaditya Motwane's Trapped shared some details about the diet he underwent during his preparation for the role. In the movie, Rajkumar Rao will be seen as Shaurya, who gets trapped in an apartment without food or water for 15 days!

Rajkumar Speaks

Speaking about this intense role and how he prepared for it, Rao said,

"The story is about a person, who is trapped, not getting food to eat and water to drink. So, as an actor, it is my responsibility to undergo the same experience. Or else, everything would have been very fake. I did not want that because I believe in reality. Not only coffee, I had some carrots too. This went on for 15-16 days. It was all for the film, that's it."

Trapped

The movie, which has its premiere at the JIO MAMI Film Festival had its trailer released recently which is getting rave reviews. Directed by Lootera Director Vikramaditya Motwane and produced by Anurag Kashyap, the movie has been making buzz for its 'no-interval' screening. In a statement, the director said that "he wants the audience to connect with and experience the emotions Shaurya undergoes in the film" and hence scrapped the interval gap in the film.

His journey so far...

Speaking more about his own connect with the film, Rajkumar Rao said, "My journey with this film was very memorable. I don't know when I will again get such a chance again to play such a character, where there's such a huge platform for me as an actor, to perform, where I can push myself beyond limits, where I have to starve, I have to eat meat and give blood. I love to challenge myself for my characters,"

Now that's some level of dedication for a movie, Rajkumar Rao! Trapped will release in cinemas across the country on 17th March.
