Madhavan not a part of Fanney Khan

Fanney Khan is one movie, we are super excited for! The starcast includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and there were even reports of southern hottie Madhavan being signed on for the movie and we were crossing our hopes for this but sadly, it would only be a dream to see Madhavan and Aishwarya together.

Madhavan was almost onboard only to be replaced by current Bollywood sensation and Newton star Rajkummar Rao. Ever since the news came in, we could only wonder why would Madhavan drop out of the project, which will be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

And now, reports suggests that Madhavan came in a little too costly for the makers in their budget!

Earlier there were reports suggesting that Madhavan couln't be part of the movie due to date issues but apparently, the actor demanded a very hefty fee for doing a supporting role in Fanney Khan. According to a source close to the movie:

"The real story is that Madhavan asked for a huge remuneration. He wanted Rs 1.5 crore for a 15-day shoot. And the makers felt that it was not justified. The plan is to make the film within a certain budget and the price quoted by Maddy didn't align with that. It was mutually decided he couldn't be part of the film and Rajkummar Rao was brought in immediately."

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor gave us something to look forward to about Fanney Khan on Instagram:

Let's just hope we get to watch him in another role super soon!
