There have been so many remakes in Bollywood that it's hard to remember the count. While some films have been equally good, some even better, there were some badly done remakes which just made us cringe!
U Me Aur Hum
The movie, which had real life husband and wife Kajol and Ajay Devgn together, was copied loosely from the iconic film, The Notebook. U Me Aur Hum was simply dragging and boring.
Salaam E Ishq
Like the inspiration, Love Actually, Salaam E Ishq had a huge starcast but it simply fizzled. As romantic and lovely as the original is, Salaam E Ishq couldn't create the same magic.
A remake of the classic film, The Italian Job, the movie was directed by Abbas Mastaan. Be it the starcast or the dismal script, it was nowhere like the original film in question.
The movie, which took so long to make and release, especially after Shahid and Kareena's breakup should never have been released! Based on the 2001 flick, Serendipity, Milenge Milenge was overly dramatic.
We Are Family
The movie, which stars Kajol, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor was heavily inspired from the Hollywood film, Stepmom which had Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon in the leads. Bollywood's treatment ofcourse, included more melodrama and that just made the film average.
Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai
The film was totally a copy, even the title, My Best Friends Wedding, which starred Julia Roberts. If the Hollywood film was average, this film was even worse.
Kuch Toh Hai
The movie, which had newbie stars Tusshar Kapoor, Esha Deol and Anita Hassandaani was so badly done in comparison to the original , I Know What You Did Last Summer. Even the poster was copied from the original.
God Tussi Great Ho
The movie, which is a remake of the Hollywood film, Bruce Almighty couldn't bring in the comic timing of Jim Carrey in the movie.
Dil Bole Hadippa
The film had Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapoor in the leads. Copied from the film, She's The Man, it was painstakingly bad and the comedy was a little too much.
While the original had Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, the remake had Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. While the starcast was good but the plot was simply bad to say the least. Nonetheless, it became a blockbuster.
