Once again, Kangana Ranaut has been faced by another legal notice, this time for Simran!
Ever since the teaser for Kangana's newest film Simran landed on the internet, the fans have been loving it, and even went on to lengths to call the film the new 'Queen'. Amidst all of this, one man who wasn't happy AT ALL was Apurva Asrani!
When the teaser credits were rolling out, many were intrigued to see Kangana credited as a writer for the script. While Kangana herself said that she helped turn the film's plot from a thriller to a comedy. Apparently, Apurva wasn't happy with this development and even called out Director Hansal Mehta for 'allowing' Kangana to do this.
Sharing his thoughts on social media, Apurva wrote:
And now, Ketan Mehta is the latest to join the brigade against Kangana, adding that she stole Rani LaxmiBai script from him!
Speaking about the legal notice, the director who has made films like Mirch Masala, Mangal Pandey-The Rising in the past said that at one point the actress had agreed to work on the biopic but later made attempts to 'hijack' the film. Ketan said:
"Yes it is true. We have sent a notice to Kangana as I think there is an attempt of hijacking a film."
"I had approached her in June 2015 regarding this project and she had readily agreed to do it and enough statements have been made by her showing the commitment about the project. We also shared the script, certain research material and a lot of discussion had happened. After this, suddenly we hear that she is doing a project with some other producer. I find this completely unethical." he added.
While there's no specific claim to call one part the true winner, Kangana Ranaut can't ever find herself free from controversy!
