The Kathua rape case has created a fire amongst the citizens of India. From Bollywood celebrities to commoners, everyone has risen in support of the child who was brutally gang-raped and murdered by 4 ruthless men in Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir. A silent protest was held yesterday in Mumbai, where several Bollywood celebrities marched together demanding severe punishment for the rapists. B-towners have also been sharing an image holding a placard strongly condemning the crime and took to Twitter to express their anger over the horrifying act.

Amongst many Bollywood celebrities, Sonam was also seen sharing her picture with the strong message to ensure protection to save our child. Condemning the horrifying incident, Sonam took to micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “Ashamed appalled and disgusted by fake nationals and fake Hindus. I cannot believe this is happening in my country.”
Replying to this tweet of Sonam’s, actress Koena Mitra took a direct dig at the ‘Neerja’ actress saying that she gave it a communal twist by mentioning ‘fake Hindus’ in her tweet. Koena further questioned Sonam for “blaming an entire religion” for the Kathua rape and requested her to make comments on other rape cases, happening around the country, where the victims were Hindus, and the alleged culprits Muslims.
